High Security Standards at Harmony Web

Given the recent data breach at Optus and Medibank, we are receiving a large number of inquiries about Cyber Security at Harmony Web. Here’s some information below about our high security standards and how we protect your service’s data:

Did you know that during the 2021-22 financial year, there were over 76,000 cybercrime reports – an increase of 13 per cent from the previous financial year (ACSC, 2022).

With this in mind, Harmony Web’s parent company, Redbourne, actively works to look after your Service (and your clients data). Redbourne has invested heavily in this domain, recently becoming ISO27001 certified and PCI-DSS compliant. This means we have processes, policies, and procedures in place to actively protect your data. We are also annually reviewed for compliance and certification standards.

Additionally, we require Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) on all of our corporate accounts and will be bringing that to your childcare systems in the new year. We use many good practices to make sure we deliver secure code on which the applications run. We use several tools to verify our code is good. Redbourne has implemented the controls defined in Essential 8 from the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).

Finally, our staff continuously receive training in good security practice, such as identifying phishing emails, handling Personal Information as defined in the Australian Privacy Principles, identifying scams and many other practices needed to protect them and your data.

If you’d like to stay up to date on Cyber Security, the ACSC is an excellent resource. Click here to become a partner.
