Harmony Software participates in FDCA 2018
Harmony Software was delighted to be able to join Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) at their 2018 National Conference held on the Gold Coast from 6 – 8 September.
“The family day care sector is one we are strongly committed to and this event is very important to us. It enables us to directly meet FDC Services and Educators from all over Australia,” said Stephen Menhinnitt, CEO of The Redbourne Group, developers of Harmony Web. “It’s an ideal venue to talk and assist FDC providers with their technology requirements and gain feedback on their needs and their use of our software.”
Held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre from 6-8 Sept 2018, Harmony Web was one of 16 exhibitors – and the only software company – at the conference.
“It has been a challenging year for many FDC organisations with the federal government change to CCS. Harmony Web has been working with FDC Services for over a year helping them and their educators move online and be prepared for the processing changes.
“By far the most common topic of discussion was helping services through the new Child Care Subsidy (CCS),” said Stephen. “We were – and are – pleased to advise that the number of calls to the Harmony support desk are coming down as people become familiar with how they manage the new subsidy and associated system changes. We expect customers will settle down to the normal routine soon.”
Mr Menhinnitt said the conference was an important event that brought together stakeholders from across the family day care and early childhood education and care sector. “It provides a forum to discuss a variety of key issues and opportunities impacting the sector, and it enhances professional development through international guest speakers and practical workshops. It was a great event.”
